I love a glass of chilled white wine! It’s the perfect end to a hard day. But, over the last few months, I’ve been getting more and more into using it for cooking. I had no idea how versatile it was!
As it is National Wine Day on the 3rd of August, here’s a list of my favorite recipes using white wine that I’ve found online. Yes, my partner will question how much of the wine went into the cooking, and how much down my throat. But hey, you need to keep yourself hydrated in the kitchen!

We’ve all seen recipes that ask for you to add a ‘pinch’ of this, or a ‘dash’ of that. Plenty of recipes even leave it up to you. How many times have you seen ‘salt, to taste’ in a recipe?
But, for certain recipes, especially for breads or cakes, there is a requirement for a much more rigid approach with precise measuring of ingredients.

Everyone loves a BBQ, but practically no one likes cleaning the grates afterwards.
However, it’s a necessary task. If you leave oils and grease on your grates, they can get rancid and will vaporize when heated, which will affect the taste of your foods the next time you grill.
And burnt on black crusts left on the grates (mostly made of carbon) will give a burnt toast taste to foods – not nice (and my partner’s pet hate!)
