Homemade Margherita Flatbread Pizza with Tomato and Basil
This is one of those things you can do at home when you’re bored.
Well of course you can find other things to cure your boredom, but this one has the promise of good food.
Now if the idea of making and eating a Homemade Margherita Flatbread Pizza with Tomato and Basil isn’t enough to spark your interest, then I don’t know what will.
Your Ingredients:
1 naan (flat bread)
3 pieces of 1/3- 1/2 inch thick fresh mozzarella cheese
1 very thinly sliced tomato
5 to 6 basil leaves
3 cloves of pressed garlic
1.5 tbsp of Olive oil
1.5 tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar
Salt and pepper
How to make your Homemade Margherita Flatbread Pizza with Tomato and Basil
First it to preheat your oven to 350°F.
Go and press your garlic and mix it with a bit of olive oil.
Get your garlic and oil mixture and brush it on your flat bread.
Put the flat bread inside your oven and cook for 5 minutes or until it starts to become crisp.
Once done, take the flatbread out of the oven and top it with around 3 slices of cheese and sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
Put the flatbread and its topping back into the oven for 5 minutes, plus another 3 minutes extra on broil. If the bread becomes dark before 3 minutes, remove it immediately.
Go back to your other ingredients and mix the remaining garlic, oil and balsamic vinegar together until it becomes smooth.
Now go and chop your basil leaves.
Once the flat bread is done, drizzle it with as balsamic vinegar mixture you made and sprinkle with the basil before serving.

This is such a good idea and so quick and easy to make, I’m delighted to find it. This is definitely one of those I’m adding to my repertoire as it will not only be healthier than having a pizza delivered, but much cheaper too. Top marks to you, chef.

I really like this recipe. Especially about using flat bread. Is there a way to actually make ones own flat bread? If so, I’m interested in learning how do so. This recipe looks very simple.

Bookmarked! I had pizza at a local bowling alley last weekend and we couldnt get over the fact of how greasy it was! So my girlfriend and I have been looking for healthy homemade pizza since our first attempt over the weekend didn’t go so well haha! Thanks for this recipe!
