One of my earliest memories of the holiday season food was me watching television while munching on some tasty grilled glazed carrots.
Yeah I know, it’s not the first thing people think of when holiday food is mentioned. But the way I see, the holidays are all about celebrations and establishing fun memories. And I’m sure, or at least I hope, that I am not the only with this childhood memory.
Anyway, if you are interested in making yourself some grilled glazed carrots, here’s what you need.
Your Ingredients:
A dozen carrots (peeled)
80 mL of orange juice
60 mL of brown sugar
10 mL of butter
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
How to make your Grilled Glazed Carrots
Take a saucepan and mix your butter, sugar and orange juice together.
Simmer the mixture until it thickens.
Once done, set the mixture aside. This will serve as your glaze.
Start to preheat your grill and grates.
Brush your carrots with your glaze once it starts to become soft.
Keep cooking carrots until the glaze starts to darken. This should take abound 4 minutes.
Once done, remove from heat and season with salt and pepper before serving.

Grilled Glazed Carrots – I swear I had this before somewhere and I’m sure (ahem) the recipe was different. This ews different because I remember thinking ….there was no need to have boring vegetables to eat (something to the effect) that, in past times these recipes must have been done before. Thinking of the amount of agriculture – I sure many families had this meal (no offense.)

I love carrots and will consume them in any fashion that they are served. I am always on the look out for different ways to cook carrots. Sometimes the tried and true is the best. This recipe takes me back to my Aunt Crik’s house and her side dish of carrots. I am looking forward to trying this recipe tonight in remembrance of dear Aunt who is no longer with us to fix up glazed carrots.

I’m usually not a fan of carrots (or peas) but I’ll admit that these look delicious. I like how simple it is too. I’ll be sure to try this one!

When it comes to carrots I usually only like them one way and that is raw, but now I’ll have to add grilled as a way I enjoy. Perfect to throw on the grill with your meat. It adds color to your presentation and everybody loves grilled food right! Even my three year old enjoyed them.

Carrots are my favorite vegetable but have never seen a recipe specifically just for carrots. These look great and sound like they would be a sweet snack.
