One of the most overlooked dishes at a party is the dessert. Not that people don’t factor them in, but that it’s not given as much importance in comparison to appetizers and the main course.
I don’t know what the exact reason as to why this is so, but I’m thinking that it has to do with familiarity. Think about it, do you cook desserts at home for every meal? I doubt so.
So to remedy this problem, I thought of giving you a very simple dessert that you can do at home.
Your Ingredients:
1 banana
2 apples
6 hulled strawberries
How To Make Your Fruit Salad In Hollowed Out Orange:
Slice the oranges in half and scoop the middle part out, and cut them into bite size pieces.
You then peel and slice the bananas, and do the same with your strawberries and apples into bite size pieces as well.
Combine everything into a bowl.
Add a generous amount of the fruit mix and stir them until each fruit is coated.
Fill the oranges with the fruit mix and serve.

This is a dish that even I can make instead of showing up to a party empty handed. I wonder if a little mango would blend well?

You are so right, I rarely make dessert to go with dinner daily. Definitely desserts gets overlooked in our home. This seems very quick and easy to prepare and very healthy. My kids would love this!

YUMM!! These look delicious and super creative. Do you ever use other fruits? Depending on what’s in season? I feel like some berries would go really nicely with this. Or maybe some chocolate sauce if you’re not so much worried about them being healthy!

This looks fantastic! Simple and beautiful, but also healthy. I’ve never thought of using orange peel as a bowl before but it’s a great idea for summer.

Wow! I can’t say I have ever seen a recipe like this one. Inside of an orange. This recipe I got to try. Though I don’t have oranges, so would it work with hollowing out of lemons? I mean the large ones? I do have them on hand. This is awesome!

My kids would love this one! Easy and healthy. I like the presentation in the orange peel. Maybe I would put a little bit of honey in mine!
