Delicious Peach Mousse With Fresh Fruits
Cooking time: 5 minutes

Though the idea of mousse desserts originated in France, it was only when I visited Thailand in the early 80’s when I got to make my first mousse desert.
Phuket, more specifically Patong, was different during those days. There were limited places to get away from the tropical sun, and that’s how I found my way to a small cafe owned by an American. I requested for something refreshing and was recommended a Peach Mouse dessert.
Though I have had my fill of mousse desserts before this, being in the tropics made me look at it in a different light.
Anyway, to stop myself from blabbering, as you are here for the recipe and not to read about my life adventures, here is my interpretation of that dessert.
Here are your ingredients:
For the Peach Mousse:
1 lb, peeled and diced, ripe peaches
2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup of cold water
1 tbsp of unflavored gelatin
1/3 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
Garnish/ Peach Topping:
1 peeled and thinly sliced ripe peach1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp of granulated sugar
Berries of your choice
How To Make Your Peach Mousse
Dice your peaches so that it will fill 3 cups and throw it into the food processor. Immediately add 2 tbsp of lemon juice and puree. Set aside.
Pour your cup of cold water into a sauce pan and add in your gelatine. Allow the gelatine to dissolve for 5 minutes and add in the sugar and cook over medium heat. Continuously stir the mixture for 2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
Go add your gelatine to your puree and mix until both have completely blended. Transfer mixture into a container with a lid and refrigerate for 2 hours until it thickens.
When puree has thickened, take your heavy cream and beat it until it forms stiff peaks. Fold the cream into your fruit mixture, slowly mixing it until it becomes smooth.Top mixture with your peaches and berries.
Put mixture into serving glass and refrigerate until it sets.

I never knew how to make mousse before reading this recipe. The recipe turned out great and now I just have to play around with different combinations of fruit. I will be making this for my dinner parties from now on. Thanks

This looks amazing! I’m not usually a fan of fruity desserts because it seems a bit boring to me, but this is anything but! I like the mousse, and although it takes some time, the garnish is super simple, yet classy!
