Anyway, meatballs are one of those dishes that appeals to anyone who eats meat. It’s familiar, easy to prepare, and if done right, absolutely delicious!
So if you are in need of a good dish to serve your friends, or even if you just want something to munch on for a Star Wars or Game of Thrones marathon, then go follow the instructions below and give us a thank you at the comment section after.

How to make your ground beef meat balls in a spicy tomato sauce
For the sauce:
Take a large sauce pan, place it over low heat and cook your thyme and onion until they become soft.
Once done, add in your salt and pepper, tomato puree, sun-dried and canned tomatoes, dried chillies and vegetable stock.
Bring the mixture to a boil and then allow to simmer for 7 minutes.
For the meatballs:
Get a small bowl and mix your beef, pork garlic and onion.
Now get another small bowl, pour your milk into it and throw in your breadcrumbs and allow them to soak. Also add in your oregano and some salt and pepper.
Add in the beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
Once done, go get your hands dirty by rolling the mixture into small balls.
Now get a frying pan, heat your oil over medium heat, and throw the meatballs in until they turn brown. This will take around 7 minutes.
Once the meatballs have turned brown, lower the heat and add in your tomato sauce. Allow the sauce and meatballs to simmer for 8 minutes.
Serve the dish with spaghetti drizzled with grated Parmesan.

Looks delicious and something I will try, I love meatballs too. I might make it with fresh chilli instead of dried in the sauce, I have a garden full of fresh chilli that needs to be used. Hopefully it will still taste nice with fresh chilli :)

Can I use chicken mince instead of minced pork and beef?

I love meatballs and although I am not a chef, I think I could handle this recipe. Why is there milk in the meatballs? I am just curious if it could be left out because I have a roommate who is lactose intolerant.

These are probably the best meatballs I’ve seen. I love the use of red chili flakes. I think this would be great for a family get-together. I’ve never made meatballs from scratch so this looks like a great recipe to start.

Meatballs! For the amount of entertaining my family does, it always pays to get new recipes for the regular fare. Over the years I have made many different meatball recipes, some were a huge success and others a major flop. This sounds like it could hit the success path easily!
