Cucumber Canape with Dill, Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon Appetizer
The thing with appetizers is that they are meant to build anticipation and excitement. In layman’s term, their main purpose is to make you feel hungry and make you want to eat anything that comes after.
And who wouldn’t feel hungry with the prospect of munching on thin slices of salmon sitting on a base of fresh cucumbers covered in cream cheese.
Here are your ingredients:
4 ounces of softened cream cheese
2 tbsp of freshly chopped dill
1 teaspoon of lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
4 ounces 2 inch stripped smoked salmon
24 fresh dill sprigs
How To Prepare Your Cucumber Canape with Dill, Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon Appetizer
Using a Spoon (or any sort of scooper) scoop a 1/2-inch-deep depression on one side of each cucumber you sliced.
Drain the cucumbers of water for at least 15 minutes with the use of paper towels.
Mix your lemon juice, cream cheese in a Mixing Bowl.
Once done, get a cucumber, and with place a 1/2 Teaspoon cheese mixture into its depression.
Place your salmon on top, and garnish it with dill and a sprinkle of pepper and lemon zest.
