If you're the type who likes to tailgate or go camping, then BBQ chicken wings with spices is one dish that you should have in your cooking repertoire.
As for me, I have been making this dish since college. And though my first few tries were complete disasters, I assure you that the flavor has definitely improved through the years.
Your Ingredients:
18 chicken wings
1 tsp of kosher salt
1 tsp of garlic powder
1⁄2 tsp of sugar
1⁄2 tsp of paprika
1⁄2 tsp of black pepper
1⁄4 tsp of cayenne
Cooking spray
Sauce
1 cup hickory flavored barbecue saucer1⁄2 cup of honey
2 tsp of ketchup
2 tsp of hot sauce
4 tsp of butter
1⁄2 tsp of garlic powder
How to make your BBQ chicken wings with spices
Wash and dry your wings and season with paprika, sugar, cayenne, pepper, garlic and salt.
Now preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
Get a cookie sheet and spray it with cooking spray.
Now go place your wings on the cookie sheet, in a single layer, and throw it inside the oven for 40 minutes.
While the wings are cooking, go make the sauce by simmering your sauce ingredients in very low heat.
Once the wings are done, dip each of them into the sauce you made and throw them back again in the oven for 5 minutes.

I found it very interesting that you applied spices to the chicken wings during the baking step. I have tried to make chicken wings & had somewhat blah results. I will try this method because I think I will get a more complex, and evenly spiced chicken wing. I will give it a try before I need to make them for Super Bowl Sunday. Lisa

An interesting blog post that delivers the best bbq recipe that I have seen for a very long time. Initially I was not able to see the recipe but now I am highly interested in cooking all of this as soon as I get home.

Love, love, love, chicken wings. I prefer mine really spicy so I would probably add a little more hot sauce or maybe red pepper flakes.

Have been looking for a chicken wing recipe with both a sauce, and a good seasoning for the chicken itself. It really makes a difference in the flavor of the meat.

I’m always on the look out for a simple wing recipe and i think i have just found it! I love that it’s not fried but i have to ask, how spicy do they come out? i LOVE spicy food, my fiance on the other hand, HATES it so i try to avoid it at all costs.
if it’s spicy do you have a recommendation on what i can do differently?

These wings look delicious, particularly the sauce. I will make them for my next BBQ, the sauce seems versatile enough to use with other meats too – I’m thinking pork. Thanks.

This look absolutely suspicious!! Chicken and BBQ…could there BE a better combination? The thing I like the most about this dish is I could myself eating as a both a quick snack as well as a main dish and that works for me!

This has got to be the best recipe i have seen for chicken wings in a while. It is totally in line with my love of cayanne and hot sauce. I cannot wait to make this the next time i have people over as an alternative to ordering pizza.

Those sound so perfect right now. I need them in my life. I might actually try to make these for my friends at my next party. I am getting way too hungry after reading this. I need to go eat something.

I love chicken wings but have always used pre-made sauces up to this point. I was glad to see you included a recipe for making your own sauce. Will be trying this in the near future.

I love anything to do with chicken, so I know I’m going to love this recipe! I like the fact that the sauce is going to be somewhat spicy, though I might not add the honey. This recipe looks so good and I can’t wait to try it out.
