1) Shake dry ingredients from side to side for accurate measurement Pour your dry ingredient. Now, for accurate measurement, shake the jug from side to side gently. This will settle the dry ingredients into a straight line so you can easily see how much is in the cup, and whether you need to add more of the ingredient, or take away.
2) Liquids curve down, so read where the bottom of the curve is Liquids, such as oils, water etc, will not settle into a straight line. Instead, they tend to curve down. For accurate measurements, read where the bottom of the curve is, NOT the edge that is against the measuring cup.

Q: Can I use hot liquids in these cups?
A: Our measuring cups are made from robust, food-grade, BPA-free plastic. We do not recommend putting boiling liquids in these cups, but they certainly can withstand warm to hot liquids.
Q: How can I measure both dry and liquid ingredients with this set?
A: For accurate measurement of dry ingredients, shake the jug from side to side gently. This will settle the dry ingredients into a straight line so you can easily see how much is in the cup, and whether you need to add more of the ingredient, or take away. Liquids, such as oils, water etc, will not settle into a straight line. Instead, they tend to curve down. Q: What is the difference between these and standard measuring cups?
A: A lot of measuring cups resemble oversized spoons. Measuring liquids with these can be messy and inaccurate as its means filling a cup up to the brim where liquids can spill out and cause a mess. Trying to avoid mess by not filling to the brim means you have lost preciseness in how much liquid you have in the cup. These types of measuring cups were designed to be used with dry ingredients only. As there are no measurements calibrated onto cups like these, you need to swipe a clean knife blade across the top to give the exact measurement. Our measuring cup set resemble jugs (instead of oversized spoons), with measurements calibrated onto the side, which means you can measure liquids without needing to fill to the brim, and you can get the same accuracy as a swiped knife blade when measuring dry ingredients.

A: Pyrex became a household name a number of decades ago for being a shatterproof alternative to glass. However, a few years ago, Pyrex stopped using borosilicate glass, which was what made it shatterproof.
